![]() Mentor in adult education
The role of the mentor in education must always be considered in the context of the educational process in which he/she is included as a mentor. According to different processes in which the mentors participate, there are specific differences among them and among various modes or forms of assistance provided by them as mentors to the participants in various forms of adult education. The mentor guides, monitors, encourages, motivates and creates opportunities for learning. In a mentoring relationship, the mentored person assumes an active role for his/her own learning and development, and this must be emphasized, while the mentor is his/her stimulator, companion, motivator, etc. So far, we have developed competence schemes for the following roles of mentors in adult education:
